"Unlocked" is a 2023 South Korean psychological thriller film directed by novice director Kim Tae-joon, starring Chun Woo-heeIm Si-wan and Kim Hee-won. It is based on the novel of the same name written by Japanese author Akira Shika. 

 

Lee Na-Mi (Chun Woo-Hee) is an ordinary office worker who works as a marketer in a start-up company. She puts in hard work every day, striving to lead a peaceful life. However, on a fateful day, she loses her smartphone, only to miraculously recover it later. From that moment on, her once ordinary and peaceful days are thrown into turmoil.

"Gentleman" is a 2022 South Korean crime action film directed by Kim Kyung WonThe story revolves around a private detective skilled in finding people and objects who inadvertently becomes embroiled in a case when he is mistaken for a critically injured elite prosecutor.

 

In order to clear his own name, he must locate a missing woman within a week. The film combines elements of crime, mystery, and action as the detective races against time to uncover the truth and redeem himself.

"Soulmate" is a 2023 South Korean film that tells the story of Mi-so and Ha-eun, two women who first meet when they are 13 years old. Over the course of 14 years, the film explores their evolving friendship, love, longing, and jealousy.

Mi-so, portrayed by Kim Da-mi, and Ha-eun, portrayed by Jeon So-nee, share a close bond as they navigate the ups and downs of their lives. However, their relationship faces a challenge when Ha-eun enters her first romantic relationship with Jin-woo, played by Byeon Woo-Seok, during their late teens. This creates a rift between Mi-so and Ha-eun, as their worlds start to drift apart.

Originally adapted from the novel "Feng Sheng". Phantom is a spy movie set in 1933, during the Japanese colonization of Korea. It tells the story of five individuals who are suspected of being spies ("Ghosts") sent by an anti-Japanese organization.  Each of the characters harbours their own secrets and motivations, leading to a deadly struggle for survival as they try to outwit and outmanoeuvre each other.

 

The movie explores themes of trust, betrayal, and the line people will cross to protect their own interests. It is an intense story that keeps the audience on the edge.

The Point Men is a 2023 South Korean action crime thriller film. The story is based on a true event of the 2007 South Korean hostage crisis in Afghanistan. Hyun Bin played a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who tried to rescue Korean hostages held by the middle east military force.

 

Details of the rescue operation and negotiations are demonstrated in this film which allows the adience to dive into the world of diplomats.
