The minimum age for enrolment in any LingoClass course is 18 years old.

 

For Small Group Courses and In-Company Training

Booking Policy

  • A class booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received.

  • Payment of the tuition fee indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions and is non-refundable.

  • No refunds or fee reductions will be provided if a student misses a class or does not attend the full course.

Group Class Size

  • Group classes require a minimum of 4 students, with an average of 6 and a maximum of 10.

  • If the minimum number is not met, we may adjust the class duration (e.g. reduce from 2 hours to 1.5 hours) or cancel the class entirely.

Group Trial Lesson

  • Each student is eligible for one trial lesson only. To continue studying after that, you must enrol in a full course.

  • Trial lesson fees are non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling is only possible with at least 7 days’ written notice prior to the scheduled trial date.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing and will be acknowledged in writing by LingoClass. The following refund terms apply:

    • Cancellation at least 7 days before the course start date: You will receive a 50% refund of the course fee.

    • Cancellation within 6 days of the course start date, or after the course has begun: No refund will be issued. Credit cannot be transferred to other courses, lessons, or products.

  • Withdrawal after the course has started: If you choose to withdraw partway through a course, we are unable to issue a refund or retain your credit.

  • LingoClass reserves the right to cancel a course before it begins if there is insufficient demand. In this case, we will offer you an alternative course or a full refund of any fees paid.

Amendment Charges

  • A £20 administration fee applies to any changes made to existing bookings, including switching classes, courses, or voucher redemption options.

  • Once a course has started, amendments are subject to LingoClass's discretion and may incur an admin fee of up to £20.

  • If you attend the first lesson but are unable to continue the course, no refund will be provided. However, we will do our best to transfer you to a similar course, provided you give us at least 24 hours’ notice and pay a £20 administration fee. Please note that you will not be able to resume the course from where you left off; your new placement will begin from the time you notify us.

  • If you are enrolled in a Group Course and choose to withdraw after the course has started, you cannot transfer to Private Tuition under any circumstances.

Missed Lessons

  • If you discontinue your classes for personal reasons after they have started, no refund will be issued.

  • If you wish to switch to a different class, we will do our best to place you at the appropriate level. A £20 administration fee will apply.

  • If you are unable to attend a lesson, please inform both the admin team and your teacher at least 24 hours in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements:

    • You may attend the class online. In this case, your attendance will be counted.

    • You may request a class recording. The teacher will send it to you after the lesson. However, your attendance will not be counted if you choose this option.

  • You must complete the official online form to attend a class online or to request a recording. This form must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. You may only choose one option per lesson. If you change your preference (for example, from online attendance to a recording), you must submit a new form at least 24 hours before the lesson begins.

  • If notice is given less than 24 hours in advance, the class will not be recorded and an online class will not be arranged.

  • We understand that strikes or travel issues may impact your ability to attend offline classes. However, since students commute from different parts of London using various types of transport, all classes are held on fixed dates to ensure fairness.

  • We will consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

  • We hope all students can achieve the best possible learning outcomes, so attending offline classes is strongly recommended whenever possible.

Attendance

  • Attendance is counted when a student attends a class in person or online.

  • You will be marked absent if:

    • You do not attend the class in person or online

    • You request a class recording instead of attending

    • Or you fail to requst an online class arrangement at least 24 hours before the offline class begins

  • To receive a certificate and progress to the next level, students must achieve at least 80% attendance per term and pass the final test.

Injury and Loss

  • LingoClass is not responsible for any personal injury or loss or damage to personal property, unless caused by the negligence of LingoClass or its staff. Students are advised to leave valuables at home.

  • We are also not liable for disruptions caused by events beyond our control, such as strikes, severe weather, transport delays, illness, quarantine, or war.

 

 

For Face to Face Private Tuition

Booking Policy

  • Private tuition lessons must be booked for a minimum of 12 hours.

  • You may choose a lesson duration of 1.5 or 2 hours per session.

  • A paid trial lesson can be arranged as your first session.

  • For offline classes, the trial lesson must be booked and completed within 1 month of the purchase date.

  • For online classes, the trial lesson must be booked within 2 weeks of the purchase date.

  • Full payment must be made at least 7 days prior to the first lesson.

  • All tuition fees, including trial and regular lessons, are non-refundable**.**

  • All bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling requests must be made through LingoClass.

  • To switch an offline lesson to online, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to allow time for room booking adjustments and online setup.

  • Each lesson may only be rescheduled once, and all rescheduled lessons must be completed before the course due date.

  • For every 12 hours booked, you may reschedule up to 2 times.

  • For every 20 hours booked, you may reschedule up to 3 times.

  • For every 30 hours booked, you may reschedule up to 4 times.

  • If you wish to change the length of each lesson after the term begins, for example from 1.5 hours to 2 hours per lesson, this will use one reschedule credit.

  • For example, if you purchase the 20-hour package with 1.5-hour per lesson, you have 3 reschedule credits. If you later decide to switch to 2-hour per lesson for the rest of the course, that change will count as one reschedule, leaving you with 2 credits for future date changes.

Course Completion Timeframe

  • All lessons must be completed within the designated period based on your selected package.

  • Before purchasing, please ensure you can complete your course within the following periods:

  • 12-hour package – within 3 months

  • 20-hour package – within 4 months

  • 30-hour package – within 5 months

  • We are unable to schedule lessons beyond these time limits, so please plan accordingly when booking.

Course Due Date

  • Your course due date is based on your total booked hours, with an additional 20% of the total hours added to allow flexibility in scheduling.

  • For example, if you book 20 hours, you'll be given 24 hours’ worth of time to complete your course. If you are taking a 2-hour lesson per week, this means you’ll have 12 weeks to finish all your 10 lessons

  • Please make sure to complete all lessons within this period, including any rescheduled sessions.

Continuing to the Next Term

  • If you would like to continue to the next term, we will try our best to arrange a convenient time. If you would like to take a break and start the next term on a specific date, all students need to pay a 1/3 course fee deposit so we can reserve our teachers' time.

  • To protect your rights, all tuition payments must be made via LingoClass bank transfer. Our instructors or staff do not accept any cash payments.

For Online One to One Classes

Booking Policy

  • LingoClass teachers deliver online lessons in a professional setting with a stable internet connection.

  • Please ensure that your own internet connection is reliable to prevent interruptions during the lesson.

 

For Online Customised Small Group Classes

For Gift Voucher

  • Redemption Period: Vouchers for both group courses and private tuition must be redeemed within three (3) months of the purchase date. Unredeemed vouchers after this period will be forfeited.

  • Course / Private Term Start Date: The selected course or private term must begin within two (2) months of the voucher's redemption deadline. For example, if the voucher is purchased on 31 January, the redemption deadline will be 30 April. In this case, the course or private term must start between 1 May and 30 June.

  • Forfeiture: Vouchers that are not redeemed within the specified redemption period will be considered invalid. No extensions, reissues, or refunds will be provided.

  • Voucher Use: Each voucher is valid for one individual only and may be used only for the number of class hours stated. Vouchers are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for cash.

  • Textbook Exchange: Each package includes a beginner-level textbook. If the student is not a beginner, the book may be exchanged for a more suitable level upon redemption, provided it is returned in good condition.

  • International Shipping Fees: UK postage is included in the package price. For international delivery, shipping fees will be charged separately, based on the courier’s rates.

Other Terms

Both teachers and students consent to the use of multimedia content (including photos and videos) on LingoClass Ltd’s social media platforms or other distribution channels, whether existing or developed in the future, strictly for marketing purposes.
