Minimum age for learners on LingoClass Programmes is 18 years old

 

For Small Group Courses and In-Company Training

Cancellation 

If a booking is cancelled, we must be notified in writing at the earliest opportunity. All cancellations will be acknowledged in writing and the following terms apply:

  • Cancel 7 days before the course begins = 50% of the course fees will be refunded

  • Cancel 6 days or fewer before the course begins, or once the course has started = no refund of fees. This credit cannot be transferred to any other courses/ lessons/products.

  • If you would like to withdraw after the course started, we are not able to keep your credit. 

We reserve the right to cancel our course before the specified date if there is insufficient demand. In this case, we will provide alternative courses, or applicants will receive a full refund.

Conditions

All course places will be confirmed when full fees have been received. Payment of the tuition fee is regarded as acceptance of the booking terms & conditions and is non-refundable. We are not able to make any reduction on course fees if the student cannot attend the full course.

All of the group classes are a minimum of 4 people, an average of 6 people, and a maximum of 10 people. If the class doesn't reach 4 people, the class would be cancelled or adjust the class time. ( ex: from 2 hours become 1.5 hours ) 

Amendment Charges

  • A £20 fee is applicable if you would like to amend your current bookings to other preferred class/ course/ voucher redeem options. This is to cover the administration time taken to amend the bookings. 

  • Once a course has been commenced, amendments will be allowed at the discretion of LingoClass and will be liable to an administration charge of up to £20.

  • If you have done your first lesson but couldn’t continue the rest of course, we cannot offer a refund but we will do our best to put you on a similar course. Please note we will need at least 24 hours notice to do this and there will be a £20 admin charge. You will not be able to start again from where you last attended, only from when you tell us you cannot attend. 

Group Trial Lessons

Trial lesson bookings are limited to one per person, after which you will have to purchase a course if you wish to continue studying.

 

We are unable to offer refunds on group course trial lessons. We also cannot reschedule unless we receive a written request at least 7 days before the trial lesson date as our teacher's time is already locked in.

Missed Lessons

If you have to discontinue your classes for personal reasons after they begin, we cannot offer you a refund as we have already booked your time in with our teachers. If you would like to change classes, we will try our best to place you at the correct level but this will be subject to a £20 administration fee.

 

If you tend to miss a lesson for whatever reason, please inform the admin team and the teacher at least 24 hours in advance. The teacher will record the lesson and send it to you after class. If notification is not given 24 hours in advance then the teacher will not be recording the class.

Attendance

 

The teacher will not record the class if the student fails to give notice 24 hours before the class begin (except for emergencies). Students will be considered absent if they fail to show up or notice 24 hours before the class begin. Students who fail to pass the test and achieve at least 80% attendance each term are not able to receive the certificates while moving up to the next level. (Joining online or watching recording will be seen as absent)

Not able to make the offline class because of commute issues or strike

- We totally understand that the strike situation or commute issues may affect everyone from coming offline class; we hope you could also understand that each student's commuting situation is different (by train, tube, bus, or even by foot) since everyone is living in the different part of London, so we would default the lessons as offline with fixed dates to be fair for everyone.

- We will discuss it separately when special circumstances happen.

- If you surely could not make the offline lessons due to commute issues or other reasons, please give us 24 hours in advance notice to attend online, then your attendance will still count. However, if you requested for recordings, it is not counted as attendance. Please understand that we need enough time to do the related arrangements.

*We strongly suggest everyone try to make it the offline lessons to reach the best learning results.

Injury/Loss

We do not accept responsibility for personal injury or for loss or damage to personal property unless it is due to the negligence of LingoClass or its employees. Any valuables should be left at home. We do not accept responsibility for events outside the control of the company such as strikes, bad weather, war, transportation delays, sickness or quarantine.

 

 

 

For private tuition

  • Lessons must be booked for a minimum of 12 hours. We can arrange a paid trial lesson for your first session.

  • Tuition payment must be completed at least 7 days before the first lesson.

  • Private tuition fees(including trial lessons and official lessons) are non-refundable. 

  • You have to complete the trial lesson within 1 month of purchase.

  • If you need to cancel a booking, please notify us in writing at the earliest opportunity. All cancellations will be acknowledged in writing and the following terms apply:
    - Cancel 7 days before the term begins = 50% of the course fees will be refunded
    - Cancel 6 days or fewer before the term begins, or once the term has started = no refund of fees

  • If your private group would like to reschedule a lesson, all members must confirm and inform your course teacher 48 hours in advance (24 hours for online courses). If notification is not given 48 hours (24 hours for online courses) in advance, the class will still be charged.

  • All lesson bookings and cancellations must be arranged through LingoClass. Any cancellation notification should be given at least 48 hours in advance (24 hours for online courses). Please inform LingoClass by filling the online form given. If notification is not given 48 hours (24 hours for online courses) in advance, the class will still be charged.

  • If you would like to switch a lesson from offline to online, please provide our team with at least 24 hours’ notice in advance. This will allow us to inform your teacher, rearrange the meeting room booking, arrange the online classroom links, and ensure that the course schedule is adjusted accordingly.

  • Each lesson may only be rescheduled once. After this, we will be unable to change our teacher's schedules.

  • For every 12 hours of courses booked, you may reschedule your lesson twice. (If you book 20 hours, you may reschedule three times; for 30 hours and you may reschedule four times, and so on.) You will still have to finish your course by the due date. This is so we can ensure we do not disrupt our lesson schedules and cause problems for our teachers.

  • Before booking the package, please ensure that you can complete 12 hours within 3 months, 20 hours within 4 months, and 30 hours within 5 months. We cannot schedule lessons that exceed these time limits.

  • Course due date: Once you have booked the package, we will offer you (booking hours X 20%) extra time to complete your whole booking hours. For example, if your plan is 2 hours per lesson / 10 lessons in total / one lesson per week (20 hours X20% = 4 hours), this means we will give you 12 weeks to complete your 10 lessons.

  • If you would like to change the lesson time for the whole term after your term starts, the change will be counted as one rescheduling credit. (For example, if you are doing 20 hours package/ 1.5 hours per lesson, you could reschedule your lesson dates 3 times. If you would like to change to 2 hours/ per lesson for the rest of the term, you have two credits left to reschedule your lesson dates)

  • If you would like to continue to the next term, we will try our best to arrange a convenient time. If you would like to take a break and start the next term on a specific date, all students need to pay a 1/3 course fee deposit so we can reserve our teachers' time.

  • To protect your rights, all tuition payments must be made via LingoClass bank transfer. Our instructors or staff do not accept any cash payments.

 

For online one to one classes

  • Once you have booked your session, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice or the session will be deducted.

  • Before your first lesson starts, we require tuition payment completion at least 7 days in advance.

  • The trial lesson must be booked within 2 weeks of the purchase date.

  • Once the lesson has been booked, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice, we will offer you (booking hours X 20%) time to complete your whole booking hours. For example, your plan is 2 hours per lesson / 10 lessons in total / once a week lesson. (20 hours X20% = 4 hours), so it means we will give you 12 weeks to complete your 10 lessons. 

  • You can choose your learning plan either 1.5 hours / 2 hours per session. 

  • All lessons booking and cancellations are arranged through LingoClass, Any lesson reschedules or cancellation notification should be given at least 24 hours in advance. Please inform LingoClass or your Course teacher by email, phone call or text. If notification is not given 24 hours in advance that class will still be charged against the balance.

  • Each lesson may only be rescheduled once. After this, we will be unable to change our teacher’s schedule. 

  • For every 12 hours of courses booked, you may reschedule your lesson twice (i.e. If you book 20 hours you may reschedule three times; 30 hours and you may reschedule 4 times and so on). You will still have to finish your course by the due date. This is so we can ensure we do not disrupt our lesson schedules and cause problems for our teachers.

  • Every teacher in LingoClass would deliver the online lessons under a good internet connection and environment. Please keep the internet connection stable on your side to avoid any issues.

 

 

For online customised small group classes

  • Once you have booked your session, we require a 24-hour cancellation notice or the session will be deducted.

For gift voucher 

  • Redemption Period: For both group courses and private tuitions, the vouchers must be redeemed within three (3) months from the date of purchase. Failure to redeem within this period will result in forfeiture of the voucher.

  • Course/Private Term Start Date: The start date of the chosen course or private term cannot be later than two (2) months from the voucher redemption due date. For instance, if the voucher was purchased on the 31st of January, the redemption due date is the 30th of April. Therefore, courses or private terms selected must commence between the 1st of May and the 30th of June.

  • Forfeiture: Vouchers not redeemed within the specified redemption period will be considered null and void, and no extensions or refunds will be granted.

  • Voucher usage: Each voucher code can only be used by one person, and can only be used to purchase the number of class hours written on it. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.

  • Textbook Exchange: For each package, we provide a beginner level textbook. If the recipient is not a beginner, they will be able to exchange their textbook for the appropriate level once they redeem their voucher, assuming it is in acceptable condition.

  • International Shipping Fees: Each package price includes the UK postage fee. For recipients outside the UK, international postage fees are not included. If you require overseas shipping, we will charge you based on the rates provided by the shipping company.

 

COVID-19 Disruption Policy

 

We realise that many students may be concerned about upcoming courses during the current Coronavirus outbreak. We are currently following government guidelines which suggest that schools can remain open and lessons can continue as normal. 

However, if this does change and we have to close temporarily, we will do everything we can to ensure you can continue to learn your target language with one of our expert teachers. We have a state-of-the-art online learning classroom platform, where both group and private video lessons can be held with your regular teachers and classmates at the regular time. Your lesson slides will all be included and every effort will be made to accommodate you.

Please note that as these online lessons would still require us to pay rent and our teacher's salaries, we will be unable to offer you a refund on any course costs in the event of a temporary school closure. Thank you for your understanding.

Others

The Teachers and students give consent that the multimedia data (including photos and videos) will be used on LingoClass Ltd related social media platform or distribution methods (now known or later developed) only for marketing purposes. If you have any concern, please feel free to let us know.

  • 團班確認開班後,日期已敲定,不予更換日期與時間。

  • 課程開始前兩天恕不接受退費。若欲取消課程請於第一堂課開課七日前告知。

    三天前取消課程,退50%學費

  • 所有課務皆由LingoClass經手,若欲請假,需請於24小時前由email或訊息提前告知LingoClass教務人員或老師,老師將進行課程錄影並交於當日請假學生。若未依規定於24小時前提出,該堂課將視為缺課,且不另退該堂課學費。

  • 補課方式為老師將課程錄下,自行看錄影回播檔補課,老師也會同步將作業以Email 形式發送。

  • 課程費用僅包含第三方支付金流手續費,不含銀行端之刷卡手續費。
