Lars
"I have tried quite a few times to take on the onerous task of learning Japanese on my own, while I'd made ground it was difficult to stay motivated. Having the opportunity to learn from a teacher in person with other students at a similar level was ideal for staying motivated and ensuring I keep on practicing. Facilities and location were great with good course material to take home to keep learning and reinforcing what we'd covered in lessons. Unfortunately, I had to take a few lessons remotely but Mio sensei did a great job in facilitating the lesson remotely so I could join and keep up. Would highly recommend to those thinking about picking up Japanese."

Why LingoClass?
Why choose LingoClass to learning Japanese?
Regardless of your current Japanese level, joining a Japanese group class offers a range of valuable benefits. In addition to making new friends and sharing your learning journey with like-minded classmates, group lessons provide a dynamic environment where you can practise speaking with multiple people, hear different perspectives, and learn from each other’s mistakes. This interactive setting also helps you understand Japanese culture in a richer, more authentic way—something that goes beyond what English alone can offer. Take a look below to see our favourite reasons for joining a Japanese group class.
Study Japanese Culture
Half the fun of taking Japanese lessons is learning about the country’s culture. Japanese culture is one of the most unique in the world and understanding the language allows you to fully immerse yourself in the fashion, martial arts and business etiquette of this fascinating country.
In every class, our teachers introduce aspects of Japanese culture, making language learning both engaging and immersive. We also integrate cultural activities directly into our lessons—such as calligraphy, origami, fan painting, and trying on traditional kimonos—so students can experience Japan’s traditions firsthand while improving their language skills.
Many leading global corporations are either headquartered in Japan or operate significant branches there. If your dream job involves working for renowned companies like Toyota, Panasonic, Uniqlo, or Rakuten, learning Japanese can open the door to more career opportunities.
Being fluent in both English and Japanese gives you a competitive edge, offering more career paths than someone who speaks only English.
In addition, being able to read and write in Japanese deepens your understanding of the country’s history as well as its modern business culture. For anyone looking to work or do business in Japan, these skills can be a powerful advantage.
Travelling in Japan
Japan is not only a beautiful country, steeped in rich history and culture, it's also home to some of the most welcoming people on Earth. It is perhaps unsurprising then that so many people choose to travel to Japan every year to explore its sprawling cities, natural wonders and intricate local dishes.
Studying Japanese in the UK can help to build a strong language base that you can expand through travelling or even living and working in Japan. Our Japanese tutors are all highly skilled in helping you communicate quickly and effectively from day one. Get in touch with us today to find out more.
